If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace.--Samuel Adams
The articles on this site generally reflect Conservative and classical Liberal viewpoints.
A post on this site reflects its author's personal opinion, not necessarily the opinions of all who contribute to the site.
People from across the political spectrum are
encouraged to post comments on The Autonomist. Political blogs are the perfect venue for
freewheeling, rough and tumble discussion of current events, so the
liberal commenting policy on The Autonomist reflects that. If you can't
take a slight or two in the heat of spirited debate and discussion,
then commenting here is probably not for you. We now welcome commenters
with conservative viewpoints only. Since the election of Barack Hussein Obama as
US President, and the great probability that he and his Party will try to
reinstitute the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," we no longer accept comments that
reflect leftwing views. This blog is now strictly an intellectual meeting place
for conservatives and other non-leftists until further notice.
Any comments expressing leftwing views will now be deleted, and those leaving such comments will be banned. The Autonomist will not give the Left even the smallest opportunity to push its talking points or advance its destructive agendas, including the reinstitution of the anti-free speech "Fairness Doctrine," now that the radical Left controls the most powerful office in America.
Other ways to get banned from commenting on this site:
1) Threatening violence. (One warning given before banishment.)
2) Racist comments and comments professing hatred of homosexuals or hatred of any ethnic group in America. Note: poking harmless fun at the cultural, religious and lifestyle oddities and differences that mark humanity does not constitute racism or any other "ism" on this website -- hatred of such things, does. (One warning given before banishment.)
3) Condescension (One warning given before banishment)
4) Over-the-top or repetitive obscenity. (One warning given before banishment.)
5)Bush=Hitler or "Bush caused 9/11" type talk (Banishment is immediate)
6) Stupidity or mindless provocativeness
7) Excessive links placed in comments
